New life for our extraction system

From Thursday (Corpus Christi) to Saturday, our extraction system underwent a complete overhaul. The technician from Rippert said, “Now it has a new heart.” Designed like a large vacuum cleaner, it sucks chips from the machines and transports them to the silo. Sounds simple? It wasn’t quite that easy.
Background:
-
35-year-old filter bags – the fabric had as many holes as Swiss cheese.
-
This resulted in a lot of deposits, which significantly reduced performance.
Our solution:
-
Replacement of 990 filter bags.
-
Thorough cleaning – so extensive that a suction dredger from Saugbagger-Hochrhein was used.
-
Thanks to powerful 4 × 30 kW frequency-controlled drive motors and an air circulation rate of 100,000 m³/h, everything is now running smoothly again.
Result:
-
Significantly improved suction performance.
-
Energy savings.
-
More pleasant indoor climate.
-
And most importantly: Completed within the planned time frame – despite the midsummer heat and sweaty days.
A big thank you to:
-
Rippert GmbH – for the new “heart.”
-
Saugbagger-Hochrhein – for the high-pressure suction operation.
-
Faschian Elektrotechnik – for electricity and expertise.
-
And, of course, to our team – for their full commitment in the sun, dust, and overtime.
Conclusion: Our extraction system is fit as a fiddle again – efficient, powerful, and energy-optimized.
And after this rejuvenation, we’re not the only ones breathing a sigh of relief!
